all you need to succeed, in one place

Description

Halal Certification for manufacturing companies that successfully pass the assessment.

Awarding

A Factory Halal Certificate is awarded to the manufacturing company for a period of 1 up to 4 years, stating the company name, company address, scope of activities, the reference standard, Customer ID, an appendix with the certified products, and a QR code for live verification.

Multiple Sites

If the company is part of a larger group, the main applicant will be mentioned in the Factory Halal Certificate, along with the assessed manufacturing sites (which will display the name and address of that site below the main certificate holder).

Description

Halal Certification for companies that want or need to acquire an approval for a singles shipment or consignment.

Possibilities

A Shipment Halal Certificate can be requested in combination with an existing Halal Certification (see Factory Certification above) or on its own.

Types

A Halal Shipment Certificate is classified as either Type A or B, whereas Type A only applies to slaughtering plants, and Type B to all other companies.

Details

A Halal Shipment Certificate showcases the name and address of the requesting party, as well as the details of the importer, exporter, consignment description, a QR code, and more.

Requirements

Just like Factory Certification, Halal Shipment Certification does require assessments to be performed before being able to request such services.

How to Request

We refer to the  HQC E-Portal Guidelines for more details.

Awarding

A Halal Certificate is awarded to the manufacturing company for a period of 1 up to 4 years, stating the company name, company address, scope of activities, the reference standard, Customer ID, an appendix with the certified products, and a QR code for live verification.

Description

Assessments performed on behalf of companies working with HQC to ensure compliance is met.

Types

Remote (desktop) assessments usually refer to documentation screening before the primary evaluation. This is also known as Stage 1.

Primary assessments refer to on-site assessments during production hours to ensure the customer meets the criteria and compliances. This is also known as Stage 2.

Supply Assessments refer to on-site assessments conducted at a third-party company on behalf  of the customer.

Duration

The duration is based on the audit time calculation formula. Several factors may increase or decrease the time needed to conduct the on-site assessments. These details are reflected within the audit planning.

Assessors

A minimum of 2 assessors are present during each stage 2 assessment.

Frequency

Depending on your sector, assessments can be carried out once to multiple times per calendar year.

For companies not classified as slaughtering plants, assessments are usually carried out once per year if the requirements are continuously met throughout the certification cycle.

Possibilities

Assessments can be performed on several occasions: initial certification, surveillances, renewals, product expansions, follow-ups of non-conformances, expansion of production sites, and relevant.
