A circular from the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), designated as Circular No. 10130/A, mandates that Saudi-based importers adhere to regulations established by the SFDA’s Halal Center.
All incoming products must secure verification from the Halal Center before gaining access to the Saudi market. Please note that only consignment-specific Halal certificates, also known as Batch, Export, or Shipment Halal certificates, are recognized.
The original letter issued by the SFDA can be viewed here.
The following products are considered to be Halal certified as of 8 November 2023:

Importers are required to consult the Halal Center’s list of approved certification bodies, accessible at https://halal.sfda.gov.sa under the ‘Customers’ tab, followed by the ‘List of Cooperation Bodies’ selection.
See Example Halal Shipment Certificate (without SFDA Halal Center logo).
The Halal Quality Control Group is formally accredited by the Halal Center of the SFDA.
