Differences Between a Factory Certificate and a Shipment Certificate
Example of a Halal Factory Certificate
A factory certificate is a general compliance certificate stating that a client can produce halal products or provide services suitable for halal. It is valid for 1 to 3 years and lists approved products or services.
Halal Shipment Certificate is The halal shipment certificate is specifically linked to a shipment from an approved manufacturer or facility. This certificate is typically used by slaughterhouses exporting fresh or frozen meat [Type HA], but can also be used by other types of businesses, except slaughterhouses [Type HB].
Please note that shipment certificates are sometimes mandatory and cannot be replaced by a factory certificate.
