HQC Certification Process

Step 2

After receiving your application form, our team will review your application for acceptance or refusal.

Step 3

Your contact person within HQC will provide you with a service quotation or a service agreement contract.

Please register on our Portal to ensure you have an activated account before proceeding.

Step 4

Your contact person within HQC will provide you with the pre-assessment documents and introduce your applicable HQC Scheme. Guiding Documents can be found here.

Step 5

If your documentation reviewing is completed and accepted, you will be contacted by HQC to schedule an assessment.

Step 6

Your assessment will be performed at your facility.

A team of 2 assessors will be present to assess compliance with your applicable HQC Scheme or reference Halal Standard.

The assessment is based on a checklist, observing activities, interviewing, verification of information, and, where applicable, sampling of products for laboratory testing.

Step 7

After the assessment has been carried out, the lead auditor will provide you with a report.

This report may contain observations or non-conformities. In such cases, you must describe your corrective actions and deliver the evidence of implementation for completion.

Step 8

If the previous step has been deemed completed, an HQC committee will provide the final review for approval.

Step 9

If the committee has decided on an approval, your Halal certificate (multiple types applicable) will be issued with a validity ranging from 1 to 4 years.
